The Osceola Lodge 2008 Olympics at Fall Fellowship is scheduled for September 12-14, 2008 at Camp Flying Eagle. The cost for registration is $20 if received at the Council Office by Thursday, August 28th. If the registration is received after August 28th but by Thursday, September 4th, the cost is $25. You may also call the Council Office to register for the event and either mail in the payment or pay at the door when you arrive. You will be charged the registration fee that is in effect on the date you call to make your registration, so I recommend that you call by August 24th. The phone number is (239) 936-8072 or 1-800-269-8072 (in area codes 941 and 239). Please remember that only a minimum number of walk-ins are allowed for, so it is really best to pre-register so that you are not turned away at the door. See you at Fall Fellowship.

Existing text ARTICLE IV- Lodge Officers Section C- election of Lodge officers Item 4. A simple majority of votes cast shall be required for election. If no person receives a majority of the votes cast, the person receiving the fewest votes shall be removed from the ballot and another vote will be taken. In the event of a tie, there shall be one re-vote. If there remains a tie after the re-vote the lodge officers only will then vote for that office. Proposed amendment Item 4. A simple majority of votes cast shall be required for election. If no person receives a majority of the votes cast, the person receiving the fewest votes shall be removed from the ballot and another vote will be taken. In the event of a tie, each candidate shall give a second speech, then there shall be one re-vote. If there remains a tie after the re-vote an individual ballot will be cast, with each member present receiving one vote. If no candidate receives a majority of individual ballots the Lodge Executive Committee (with more than 50% of its voting members present) will then vote for that office.
